Entered partnership with Rod McDonald Wines
Processing wine on contract for New Zealand grape growers and wineries – named the business Hawke’s Bay Wine Co – the main tenant for Ka Tahi’s new Winery.
February 2014
First vintage at Hawke’s Bay Wine Co.
Beginning of Ka Tahi's first wines.
March 2014
Small batch premium wines
Purchased plant and equipment to provide capacity for small batch premium wines.
June 2014
Ka Tahi launches with 5 varietals
Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc, Pinot Gris, Merlot Malbec and Syrah.
March 2015
Wayne's new 'retirement project'
Wayne retires from his day job and doubles his workload. Danny and Amal need a new joke so appoint him CEO of Ka Tahi Wines.
December 2016
Rangatira Reserve range is launched
Rangatira is only to be made in exceptional years for each varietal. The 4 varieties launched are Chardonnay, Malbec, Syrah and Pinot Gris
January 2017
We strike gold!
Rangatira 2016 Chardonnay wins Gold medal at the New Zealand Wine Awards. This adds to the 30 other gold, silver and bronze medals won by Ka Tahi and Rangatira wines at the New Zealand Wine Awards, Hawke’s Bay Wine awards and New World Wine awards in the company’s short history.

Ka Tahi customer base in NZ climbs to 200 trade businesses. Export destinations stand at 5 countries.
